The Kahless Deathwing is Klingon inspired build, whose role will be defined by the player as they progress. From a swift corkscrew/spin agility build, to a light cruiser platform with shield in excess of 100k when fully upgraded for shield role, or anything in between. At a relatively low cost for level 25 warship, players can get up and running in short order

The Deathwing comes with 2 different color options, with the secondary option changing exterior trim color and interior light textures.

The Kahless Deathwing Heavy Raptor Role

Pilots who wish to develope the Kahless deathwing into an agility build, who are comfortable with corkscrew/spin, should look to keep weight low. This would mean staying within medium size shields for RE, and focusing on thruster expansion, quality of turrets over quantity, and keeping weapons close to the centerline. A deathwing configured in such a role, can mitigate most damage to shield by spinning. Later, shields can be beefed up with Bastion or Regenerative.

The result is a nimble strike platform that can be assembled on a relatively cheap budget.

The Kahless Deathwing Light Cruiser Role

Others choosing a light cruiser configuration will see a longer path of growth, with a build that is less nimble to respond, but will have a moderate pool of total shield, up to 90k, or exceeding 110-140k with Regenerative or Bastion placement. Excess power from a placed fusion generator can see the Kahless Deathwing turn into a considerable weapons platform, if the wings should be fully utilized for turret placement.

In either role, pilots should take care to monitor shield levels. The ship features some layers of combat steel in key areas, as well as perimeter decoys, but these are present to buy the pilot time to disengage from sources of considerable firepower.

Hello kindred Empyrion spirits!

Let me start with a request; please respect blueprint authors. Often it takes months to finesse a build, and to have it ripped and reuploaded without permission or even so much as credit, can be discouraging, often pushing such authors away from the community.

I personally don’t mind critical feedback, and constructive criticism, as it will serve me to better my builds. However, If you enjoy my content, and there is much more to come, respect my (and others) authorship of these massive timesinks. Thank You.

HOW TO CHANGE THE COLOR SCHEME

1. First copy the desired color code found either here, or inside the Deathwing’s Archives with control C.
2. While looking at the ship with color/texture tool out, right click to open texture palette, then click configure.
3. Your green selection box should be over the top left color. If not, left click it to select.
4. Now while holding down shift, left click the bottom right color box, then in the left UI box, hit paste.
5. Once done, your new palette should apply, but to lock it in you have to hit OK under the color palette box.

Lore and History

Kahless Deathwing is a Raptor class warship, the result of a secret agreement between Section 31 and Klingon High Command. Incorporated in her design are a number of Federation technologies and features, including the nacelles, which are maintained by Section 31 engineers and other staff. The ship is designed to accomodate an integrated human crew, which are overwatched by select Klingon officers.

The formation of the ship came about through a cooperation between Klingons and members of Section 31, after the conclusion of the Dominion War. The end of the war saw the Klingon Defense Force’ fleet severely depleted, but in possession of some holdings in Dominion space. Section 31 had interest in aquiring property within that space, and the Klingons ever excited to replenish their fleets with new technologies, struck a bargain with Section 31.

Kahless Deathwing; glory through strength!
