The battles for Bakhmut are the fighting on the territory of the city of Bakhmut and its environs as part of the Battle for Donbass, which began on August 1, 2022 and continues to this day. It is of great strategic importance both for the AFU and for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, since there is a road from Bakhmut to Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, Konstantinovka and Seversk, which can contribute to a rapid offensive by the Russian army, and for the AFU it is a very important transport hub.

Бои за Бахмут – это боевые действия на территории города Бахмут и его окрестностей в рамках Битвы за Донбасс, которая началась 1 августа 2022 года и продолжается по сей день. Это имеет большое стратегическое значение как для ВСУ, так и для Вооруженных сил Российской Федерации, поскольку из Бахмута проходит дорога в Славянск, Краматорск, Константиновку и Северск, что может способствовать быстрому наступлению российской армии, а для ВСУ это очень важный транспортный узел.
