Description:

Hi people!
This is a long-awaited project, made over the course of weeks. Awaited by a lot of people, who (I jope) will be happy with it.
This is the Mezirusy map.
Mezirusy is a fictional region of Toprussia. It used to be a part of Prussia, so there are a lot of architectural and infrastructural leftovers, which please our eyes. During the WW2, the region was field for very important battles, during which a big part of the infrastructure was destroyed.

However, the railway network still remains dense and gives a lot of field for expansion. There is a lot of railway lines (many with dead ends, because the river valleys are getting too steep). Still, the map remains very ballanced, because to make the railway lines usable, you need to repair them first. It will take a lot of resources in some cases, because of heavy war damage. Bombings, sabotages, robberies. The railway lines have telephone lines (cut in some places, you’ll have to check through them to see if they’re working).

When it comes to the road network, it is about half dirt, half gravel. There are a few roads, which need repairs, but it’s not the majority. There are some, which lead to remote villages, which you might not even care about. Some connect 2 cities, which are not connected directly by the railway.

All of the very basic industry is on the map. To make sure it’s not overpowered, I didn’t include the bigger buildings (prcessing plants, power plants etc.). They are overgrown to appear abandoned.

The terrain is very challenging, mountainous. You have a connection to the water via a lake, where you can build a harbour, however to run ships from it, you’ll need to build it outside of the main area, or buldoze and replace the road bridge.

Besides the industry, there are also some fields for food production.

Here is a little description of the railway lines to make up the lore:

Line no 1: Zhlopolatsk – Baraslaw – Kirarush border. The line has 2 tunnels. It begins in Zhlopolatsk, with a food factory and goes in the valley of the Mezina river all the way to Baraslaw, where it meets with the line no 2 (Zachedronie – Corasna – Modred – Nachomo – Baraslaw – Warstok border). It goes under a broken viaduct (currently, it’s covered up by its scrap) and continues gently to the border town of Bybrzych. It is one of the most challenging railway lines when it comes to track grade. Heavy freight trains will be struggling up the Mezina river valley to the terminus station, so be careful.
Line no 2: Zachedronie – Corasna – Modred – Nachomo – Baraslaw – Warstok border. One of the longest railway lines. It begins in the mountain resort of Zachedronie and begins right with a tunnel. It goes down the Valoka river valley all the way to Modred, where it meets with other lines. It then climbs to Baraslaw to connect with line no 1. From there, the railway line is unable to be used. After the war, the traffic between the minor NATO border posts has been abandoned, resulting in the line being overgrown, with missing pieces of track and destroyed viaducts. You will have to rebuild it if you want an alternative to the main Kirarush border crossing.
Line no 3: Singripol – Corasna. One of the shorter lines, has just two stations. It was built mainly to serve traffic from the small bauxite mine in Singripol, which has now been closed down. The station doesn’t see any traffic from that point on, however you can revive it, if you want an easy source of bauxite for further processing.
Line no 4: Bonygy – Chomusek – Cribozia – Modred – Lyuslav border. Another very long railway line, going from the border town of Bonygy to the border crossing at Lyuslav. It goes via the biggest cities on the map and is propably the most important one in the Mezirusy region. At the end of its journey it goes along the lake the get to the border crossing, beautiful trip.
Line no 5: Krasjec border – Chomusek. This short railway line was built to connect the newly built border crossing at Krasjec. It can speed up the export to the east, if you get it back up running.
Line no 6: Piedansk border – Cribozia. This railway line serves as another alternative to the border crossings with the east. Doesn’t have severe damage.
Line no 7: Nachomo – Sargrad border. This railway line is in very bad condition. So far, only trains between Nachomo and Cernacova can run, because further to the crossing, the railway line has been in bad condition since the end of the war. It has been abandoned along with a part of railway line no 2 when traffic on the smaller border crossings with NATO was stopped because of closer relations with the east. You can use it to transport beer from the Cernacova brewery to the rest of the country.

I really hope you find this map worth playing, interesting, challenging and (of course) fun to play. I have spent a long time on it, and I would really appreciate if you played it.

Have fun 🙂
