Mikecro’s Mayan Pyramid Unique Improvement
This mod adds a new unique improvement, Mayan Pyramid. It is unlocked at Masonry tech, and provides you with faith, science and gold. Works with all Mayan leaders.
Although not as famous as Egyptian pyramids, Mayan pyramids are still famous for their legends and stepped shape. First pyramids were built around 1000 B.C. and many would be built in the following 2000 years. They were houses of rulers and usually devoted to one god from Mayan pantheon (like Sumerian and Greek cities). Most famous of them is Chichen Itza in Mexico.
Mayan Pyramids provide +2 Faith, +1 Science and +0.5 Housing.
- +1 Faith from adjacent Luxury or Holy Site.
- +1 Science for each adjacent Observatory.
- +1 Gold for each adjacent district, 2 adjacent Farms or 2 adjacent Plantations.
- If built on Volcanic Soil, +2 Faith and +1 Science.
It gains additional Faith and Science as you progress through techs and civics, and gets Tourism from Faith after researching Flight. Cannot be built adjacent to another Mayan Pyramid.
Requires Gathering Storm and Maya and Gran Colombia Pack.
