All Firearm Units are Ranged
Makes sure that all units that carry guns or mounted with guns, missiles, rockets, or other things that apparently to be ranged weapon to have a ranged attack. Don’t worry, their ranged strength are lower than their melee strength and they may still perform melee attack, much like how is Giant Death Robot handled.
Mod units will be supported as much as possible.
The following units each gain a ranged attack with range 1 with ranged strength equal to its melee strength -10. If the unit is from Modern era or later, instead it has range 2.
- Melee Infantry units since Musketman
- Anti Cavalry units since AT Crew
- Light Cavalry units since Cavalry
- Heavy Cavalry units since Cuirassier (or Reiter if you have warfare expanded)
- Naval Melee units since Caravel
- Aircraft Carrier units
In addition, ranged units (that are already ranged units before this mod) from Modern era or ahead have their range increased by 1.
- Despite Pike and Shot not receiving a ranged attack, Carolean does.
- Despite being a Modern era unit Mountie still has range 1.
- Malon Raider, Llanero, and Winged Hussar do not receive a ranged attack because they don’t really have a gun. They gain +4 combat strength as a compensation.
