Description:

Experience the rise of Carthage once again in the Scramble for Europe mod. Take control of Tunisia and lead it on a path of colonization and expansion, just as the ancient Phoenicians did. But be warned, other nations will be vying for control of the continent, including the re-emerging power of Morocco as they embark on a new reconquista through colonization. Will you lead your nation to glory and dominate Europe, or will you fall to the ambitions of others? The Scramble for Europe awaits you.

Content

Any AI controlled nation larger than 1 million is given colonial exploitation so each nation has a more equal chance. The only European nations that have been left are the Ionian islands, Montenegro, and Krakow.

All decentralized nations have been centralized so you could potentially play the might nation of Air, all thanks to MetaMeta‘s No Decentralized Nations

Credit

This mod would not have been possible without the codebase from MetaMeta‘s mod No Decentralized Nations as it gave me the push I needed to decentralize Europe.
This mod is based on one made by Lunu portrayed in the video "Victoria 3 but Europe is empty" by Laith

Compatibility

This mod should be compatible with any mod that doesn’t change any European nation. Tips for checksum errors with multiple mods in multiplayer:

  • Make a clean playset
  • Remove any unused mods from playset even if inactive
  • Sort by "A->Z" load order for the least hassle (you have to have the same order with all players so if it doesn’t work a->z you’ll have to sort manually and export the correct load order for others to import and use)

This mod changes these files:

  • commoncountry_definitions0_countries.txt
  • commoncountry_definitions1_africa.txt
  • commoncountry_definitions1_pacific_and_australasia.txt
  • commonlaws0_colonial_affairs.txt
  • all files in "commonhistorycountries" folder
