Description:

Have you imagined to play this game in a Tower Defense way? This mod makes it possible. No exaggeration to say, totem users are embracing their second spring. In this mod, every totem has been modified with different auras, no matter for allies or enemies, making combats less boring and more strategic by using totem combinations. Yes, every single totem, even Necromancer’s bored to death totem. And there’s more, more surprises as Naruto easter egg awaits to be explored by you. =)

TOTEM AURAS/EFFECTS:

Note: Most buffs are triggered in combat, in case you are wondering.
You can also check effective radius and stats of each aura by clicking buff icons.

  1. Wood Totem
    Rest Aura(10m), Luck Aura(12m)
    Totem with long range buffs. Mildly improves allies’ stats and cure some debuffs.
  2. Fire Totem
    Peace of Mind Aura(12m), Haste Aura(10m), Warm enemies(6m)/Fire surface after death.
    Offensive totem with long range buffs applied on allies. Greatly boosts their stats and cure some debuffs.
  3. Water Totem
    Restoration Aura(10m), Deflection Aura(6m), Wet enemies(6m)/Water surface after death.
    Defensive totem with middle range buffs applied on allies. Boosts a proportion of physical armour. Counters ranged mages and archers.
  4. Air Totem
    Evasion Aura(3m), Far Sight Aura(10m), Shocked enemies(6m)/Electrified water surface after death.
    Defensive/Offensive totem with mixed range buffs. Offers allies Evasion and Far Sight.
  5. Oil Totem
    Fire Immunity Aura(10m), Flaming Crescendo Aura(6m), Living Bomb Aura(3m)/Oil surface after death.
    Offensive totem with short range debuffs applied on enemies. It is a time ticking bomb deals terrifying damage. Using it smartly will eliminate enemies in an instance.
  6. Poison Totem
    Earth Immunity Aura(10m), Entanglement Aura(6m), Poison Aura(10m)/Poison surface after death.
    CC totem with middle range debuffs applied on enemies. Counters those without magic armour, especially melee attackers.
  7. Blood Totem
    Flesh Sacrifice Aura(10m), Vampirism Aura(6m), Blood Arrowhead/Blood surface after death.
    Offensive totem with long range buffs applied on allies. Highly boosts allies’ damage.
  8. Bone Totem
    Death Wish Aura(10m), Enraged, Bone Cage Aura(10m)/Can bleed, Blood surface after death, Respawn a blood totem after death.
    Offensive/Defensive totem with long range buffs applied on allies. It deals fair physical damage individually with 100% critical chance. Imagine a dozen of it. So do use it, it won’t let you down.
  9. Shinju
    Shinju’s Faith Aura(25m), Shinju’s Blood Aura, Shinju’s Guard Aura(15m), Lv.10 Leadership/Can bleed source, Source/Blessed fire ring/Cursed smoke cloud after death, Respawn Jubi after death.
    Defensive totem with super long range buffs applied on allies. Significantly raises allies’ stats, provides infinite source and protects them from full incoming damage. Powerful totem as it is, eventually it will come with a consequence. Be careful when using it.
NEW SUMMONS:
  • Shinju

    It is designed as an ancient tree form totem, with infinite source power. It bleeds source every turn on its own action, but if it gets hurt every time, new source will bleed out. After 7 turns, it dies and Jubi respawns right on its spot. There’s an unique skill book for it which is stored in one of the chest, but beware, the man who guards it is not easy. Preferably can be learnt on Lv.9.

  • Jubi

    Although Jubi can be summoned no matter by the death of Shinju, or later can be learnt as a skill, it’s always in madness, attacks whoever it wants. It is guarded by a formidable god, who is designed as a terrifying existence. You may probably be able to learn this skill between Lv.12~15(Lone wolf) due to its strict requirements but obtain its skill book in advance is recommended as you only have the chance to have it in Fort Joy. One thing to notice is that, Jubi from Shinju’s death is overshadowed by player’s summoning one as the later enjoys Soul Bond enhancement. Oh, and try to water it frequently as it will overgrow!
NEW QUEST:

Three extremely powerful bosses are designed, which each of them guards three chests, and they are tightly connected, by which you will find out the truth of Shinju and Jubi. Right combat orders are suggested as Quas, Exort, then Wax. The later the tougher, so get prepared to be team wiped. But you can customize your own way as always. Anyhow I will save it here and try not to be a spoiler.

OTHERS:

This is my first mod and I haven’t fully done a test run yet so it’s inevitably unbalanced in some ways, maybe the totems are too powerful so the original NPCs won’t be enough, or the enemies added are beyond OP. So feel free to install other mods that makes you feel better to balance with this one, there shouldn’t be any compatibility issues.
