The Taur Khaganate
Like any other race mod in existence, this mod requires a character creator extender. But surely, you have one already? Surely?
Behold my first mod.
The Taur are a race of half-man, half-equestrian warriors. I wanted a centaur race but never found a mod for one. So I decided to make one myself, despite having approximately 0 experience in Lua and with making pixel art.
The Taur Khaganate, also known as ‘the Khanate’, is the official state of the Taur people. It was founded on the Taur homeworld Pulturos II, and is comprised of five clans; the Iron, Heart, Hand, Glass and Glint Clans. Over 500 years ago, a Taur mytho-historical hero named Chiron the Stone ended the constant civil war between the five Clans, united them into a single Khaganate, and then laid the foundation for the construction of the first "oracle ships," which uplifted the Taur into a spacefaring race.
Since then, the Khanate expands its sphere of influence by conquering systems and incorporating them into the Khanate. This makes the Khanate a major power in its regions of the galaxy, and a self-proclaimed enemy of the Terrene Protectorate whom they frequently refuse to cooperate with.
Many Taur become disillusioned with the Khanate’s hostilities and join the Protectorate. The PC’s dialogue is written in the perspective of being one such Taur, but it is of course always up to you.

- State-mandated invisible pants.
- Racial armour at all 6 tiers. Disclaimer; most of it was made by kitbashing vanilla assets together with some edits of my own to personalize it and not make it completely derivative. Some lower tiers are of my own making, you can tell because they look like poop.
- Occasionally, non-Taur shirts will show a little belly, or have clipping/stray pixels.
- Most, if not all non-Taur pants do not fit them. You can still wear them, it’ll just looks really weird.

- Taur look weird sitting in most chairs, and they don’t fit in beds at all. There is nothing I can do about either of these issues.
- Taur have been preemptively given Cutebound faces because I prefer playing with Cutebound on. That means the face, hair, and the human upper half are not mine, they are Cutebound assets. Making a de-cutified option is possible, if needed.
- No custom respawn animation, they use human animation, if this bothers you then just don’t die, ever.
