Southern Pacific EMD SDP45
This is a realistic replica of a EMD SDP45 build for Southern Pacific.
It is powered by a EMD 20-645-E Prime mover and has 6 axles.
The engine is equipped with a Headend power, able to provide up 500 SWATT of power to your cars.
The Wabsim airbrake simulation is the new standard in how Brakes for US-rolling stock work in Stormworks, just to make it even more compatible with older stock, it has my old AirBrake system integrated.
To be controlled oder to control more engines, the locomotive is equipped with ESS2.0 MU-system.
Startup:
To start the locomotive, you first have to turn on all fuses in the fuse cabinett.
After this you have to activate the two toggle switches on the main driving stand called "Engine Run" and "Control/Fuel Pump", leave "Gen Field" OFF!
On the back Panel put the engine mode into "start" position.
Then go to the engine starter panel in the engine room.
After priming the Engine for ten seconds press the starter until the engine runs at idle speed.
You then have to enable the generator field switch and put the engine mode selector to "run" position.
After the engine is running either setup the MU system, or setup the loco for duty in the cab.
The HEP generator is started by the Key-Button on the cab back wall. If the HEP trips on some fault, it will shutdown. After such an event the HEP-generator can be reset using the reset button on the long hood right side last panel.
Note: If the Starter batery for the locomotive is low, you can use the HEP-generator to charge the locomotive bateries.
