Siren Variety – Compatibility Patches
In the base game, there is only one siren used by all emergency vehicles. Siren Variety overwrites this siren with a better police siren and adds two more: an EMS siren and a fire siren. Modded ambulances and fire trucks that have sirens will use the police siren by default, and thus need to be edited to use the new EMS and fire sirens. There are also cool bullhorns and airhorns on all the patched emergency vehicles.
Requires the main mod to work and at least one of the supported mods below.
- Filibuster’s Used Cars!
- Special Emergency Vehicles & FBI for Filibuster Rhymes’ Used Cars! (this mod has some custom horns included, they are untouched)
- Tread’s Water Tank Trucks – FR Firetruck overwrite (this mod changes the same files, hence the patch) (also requires Filibuster’s Used Cars!)
- Vanilla Vehicle Enhancer (patch currently has a weird bug, could use some help with it)
- fhqwhgads’ Motorious Zone
- Motorious Zone – Hot Pursuit Add-on
- 1993 American Vehicle Pack
- ’89 Oshkosh M911
- ’89 Oshkosh M911 – MODIFIED (this mod changes the same files, hence the patch)
- ’86 Oshkosh P19A
- ’74 AM General M151A2 MUTT
- Compatible with any mods that do not change the configuration files of the vehicles in "scripts" (otherwise, one mod will overwrite the other depending on the load order)
- Small Town First Responders works without issue, as it overwrites vehicles with new textures by using Vehicle Tweaker API
- Multiplayer compatible? (I believe both client and server need this mod, not yet tested)
- Partially save-game compatible (existing vehicles will keep their old configuration, you need a new vehicle)
- If you would like another mod to be made compatible, or if you’ve noticed some vehicles are missing the new sirens and horns, please mention it below along with the vehicle IDs (it would make implementing it much faster)
As I do not own these mods, each mod is subject to either be integrated into the mods listed above or removed from the Workshop at the discretion of the original mod authors. Otherwise, you are allowed to update and reupload this mod to the Steam Workshop.
