Brawl Buddies
Yes, this is a character, not a Buddy, even if Buddies is in the name.
Hailing from the Something About series made by TerminalMontage, the Brawl Buddies (lead by Marth) abuses their foes with Marth’s insane grab range, Ike’s strength, and Meta Knight’s air mobility.
Their moveset is mostly based on moves actually found in Super Smash Bros, but there are some differences.
NSPECIAL – Marth’s Grab.
This move hits anywhere Marth faces, and a little from behind. If it lands or if it misses, there is a 15 second cooldown until you can use it again. If it hits, the player who gets hit will teleport to Marth and be thrown upward.
FSPECIAL – Trio Slash
This move propels Marth and crew forward with a bunch of slashes. If you get caught in it, you will be carried forward. The move hits 8 times, and finishes with a meteor smash, but puts Marth into special fall. It’s good for recoveries, because only Marth has a hurtbox.
USPECIAL – Dolphin Slash
Carries up like Roy’s up special, and then combos into two more hits. Made to kill off the top, but can be DI’ed out of. Not very good for recovery.
DSPECIAL – Eruption
This move is different depending on whether Marth is in the air or on the ground. If on the ground, it is a 3 hit eruption, but has little range. In the air, it sends Marth directly down, and has a big explosion when he lands.
Brawl Buddies has a couple of gimmicks, that being each character has different attacks. Marth has deadly tippers, Meta Knight has fast but weak attacks, and Ike has powerful but slow attacks.
Brawl Buddies has Abyss Rune support as of 3/18/21. Have fun with the crazy changes they make.
