Die deutsche Heeresfeldbahnen beschafften 1917 bei Henschel & Sohn eine große Meterspur-Gelenklokomotive (Schmalspurlokomotive) der Bauart Mallet, die zur besseren Verteilung der Achslasten sechsachsig ausgeführt wurde.

Die Lok wurde nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg an die Königlich Bayerischen Staatsbahn verkauft, die sie als Gts 2×3/3 996 auf der Lokalbahn Eichstätt-Kinding eingesetzt hatten.
Nach Bildung der Deutschen Reichsbahn
wurde die Lok als DRG-Lok 99 201 eingereiht. Sie verblieb bis zur Umspurung der Strecke auf 1.435mm im Jahr 1934 in Eichstätt und wurde dann verschrottet.

Diese Lok ist in der Ausführung Epoche II der Deutschen Reichsbahn Gesellschaft (DRG)

Die Kupplung muss manuell betätigt werden, siehe Bilderstrecke.

Der Boost funktioniert nur, wenn die Waggons angekoppelt sind. Dieser wird ab zwei Waggons empfohlen

The locomotive was built in 1917 by Henschel & Sohn.

After the end of World War I the engine was sold to the Royal Bavarian Railways. It was designated as Class Gts 2×3/3 and was given the number 996.
It was employed on the Eichstätt-Kinding narrow gauge route.
After the take over of the German state railways by the Deutsche Reichsbahn it was given the number 99 201 and classified as DRG Class 99.20.
The locomotive was scrapped in 1934.

This locomotive is a model of epoch II of the Deutsche Reichsbahn

The connector musst be operated manually, see picturegallery.

The boost works only with a connected railway car. It’s recomended if at least 2 railway cars are attached.
