Longer Campaigns
20.08.2022. Update: Increased the time to replenish losses in a group of units. The number of slots for recruiting units has been reduced by one slot.
Hello everyone.
I don’t know if you’ve ever noticed, but after a few dozen turns in the main campaign, it is possible to hire elite troops. Although the year is still far from A.D. I think the campaign is developing too fast, and this makes playing it less interesting, the end goal of the game is too easily reached. The objective of this mod is to lengthen the amount of turns it takes to unlock higher tier units. To do this, I increased the time of study for each technology category 2-4 turns for all factions. Time of construction of buildings is also increased. (from 2,3,5,8 in vanila to 3,5,7,9 in mod) Taxes have also been fixed, so now, lower taxes give a small bonus to settlement population grow, 1-2 points per turn instead of 0 in the vanilla version.
