Better Andalusia
Better Andalusia is a mod for Victoria 3 that aims to create a realistic simulation of late-modern-era Andalusia and Spain. I’m a solo developer so expect things to take time.
This is still an early build, but I already considered it enough of an improvement over vanilla to be published.
Andalusian features:
– Andalusian culture
– Dynamic flags for an Andalusian theocracy, absolute monarchy, constitutional monarchy, republic, communist
republic, dictatorship and anarchist society
– Dynamic country names for Andalusia when it’s a theocracy, monarchy, republic, dictatorship, communist republic and anarchist society
– Dynamic country names for Andalusia when it doesn’t own the state of Granada (Play as the Bishopric or Kingdom of Seville, the Guadalquivir Republicl or the Sevillian Commune
– Andalusia no longer owns the state region Badajoz (current day Extremadura) when released
– New historical state traits for the states of Granada, Andalusia and Gibraltar (Guadalquivir River, Riotinto Mines, Sierra Nevada, Linares mineral deposits)
– Added mineral resources in Eastern Andalusia to represent the historical mining industry in the area
– Historical Andalusian names and surnames for your Andalusian pops
– New state of Gibraltar, separate from Eastern Andalusia
– New names for Andalusian and Gibraltarian political parties
– The UK no longer has a treaty port with Spain (or with released Andalusia). Instead, Gibraltar is just an
unincorporated state
– Releasable Gibraltar
– Custom flag for Gibraltar
– Custom pops for Gibraltar to better represent the demographic composition of the Rock
– An decision for Gibraltar to adress the issue of multiculturalism in the Rock

– Valencian culture
– New ‘catalanophone’ for Valencian culture

– New government type ‘monastic order’ for Valencian theocracy, allowing you to play as the Order of Montesa
– The state of Levant has being divided in the states of Valencia and Murcia
– The Albufera as a state trait to the new Valencian state
– Historical Valencian names and surnames for your Valencian pops
– Custom names for Valencian political parties

Languages:
The mod currently supports English and Spanish. German, Portuguese and French default to english. If you play in other languages you may come across localization_strings.
