FOR NIGHT BATTLES USE: Belaru2_Sunny IN NIGHTMODE!
————————————————————————–
This map contains:
– Belaru2_Sunny
[Clear, default version of the map, can be used for all gamemodes. Use also this for nightime battle.]
– Belaru2_Rain
[Rain version of the map, can be used for all gamemodes, optimized,no drain on PC.]
– Belaru2_DNcycle
[Early version day-night cycle, lightning during night is not great but that’s the best I could manage now. Lightmodes, and LOD levels are changed, heavier load on PC, only suitable for Spec Ops gamemode.]
————————————————————————-
This map was designed first and foremost for Spec Ops mode, but can be used with all gamemodes.
Number of bots: 80 to 150 (or as much as you can handle).
Soviet, Russian, 80’s US weapons, normal Vanilla+ or Kestrel faction weapons and equipment works great with this map.
—————————-POLESIE—————————————
Since the 2006 Second Disaster the belarusian side of the Exclusion Zone remained quiet, until around 2016 when the numerous emissions opened the northern areas for exploration. Dubbed Chernobyl-North it comprised of the old Polesie Radiological Reserve and it’s surrounding areas that were swallowed by the Zone in 2006.
This part of the Exclusion Zone is famous of it’s abundance of artifacts and apparent lack of mutants. This not only allowed the various factions to flood the area, but vehicles to be operated in the otherwise hostile landscape.
Polesie is considered to be on the edge of the Northern Areas, where a lot of the goods are smugled in and many rookies enter the Zone from here. Otherwise it is quite unremarkable, a mirror of the inner areas of the Zone. The terrain is only spotty with high radiation areas and the anomalies here are sporadic. Scrap salvage is made inpossible by the local phenomenon called Hyperrust wich ate most of the left behind equipments long ago.
Despite this bandits are frequent visitors in this area, trying to extort other free stalker when they enter. This increased activity promted the Belarusian Army to start
conducting cleanup operation in the Zone, due to the increase in stalker activity. On the other hand, unknown, shadowy operatives are spotted in this region, however currently there is no evidence of such activities here.
—————————-Chernobyl-North Mappack———————–
Chernobyl-North Mappack is the expansion of the Exclusion Zone. While the mainline Stalker games only explore the Ukranian side of the Zone, the Mappack explores the unkown northern areas. This mappack is based on the unified map system of the Zone, like in Stalker COC and Anomaly and not the real life geometry.(For example, in Stalker games Pripyaty is south of the CNPP, in real life it’s in the NW of it.)
