Description:

New and accurate: Update 2.0/IE has apparently NOT made this mod redundant. As Dwarfs, I can’t open diplomacy with Skarrbrand when not running this mod. So perhaps it is still needed. It certainly won’t hurt your experience if you run it in 2.0.

Old and inaccurate: Update 2.0/IE has made this mod redundant with the base game. Chaos can now negotiate with order by default, so this mod is no longer needed.

This is a very simple mod that lets Chaos factions negotiate with Order factions and lets Order factions negotiate with Chaos. Neither group is automatically at war with the other upon discovery either (I didn’t change that, it just comes along with clicking the box that lets them negotiate).

That said, CA already had aversions built in for these factions, so certain factions hate each other. Khorne and Cathay have a -100 aversion for example. Meanwhile Khorne and Skaven have no aversion penalty. I haven’t modified any of CA’s aversion/affinity values.

If you just want to be able to negotiate as Chaos with Order (or the other way around) and don’t want any frills, this mod is for you.

Edit: I have made a submod for those looking to be able to negotiate with Order factions, but still want Order factions to REALLY hate Chaos and make that diplomacy almost impossible. This sub-mod is useful if, for example, you still want the Empire to really hate Khorne and be ready to declare war, but you also want to be able to conduct diplomacy with Vampires as Khorne. (Without a mod like Diplomacy for Chaos or one like it, Vampires are considered an "order" faction and are automatically at war with Chaos upon discovery). Link below:

PS.

You will (probably) need to start a new game to make it work fully. From testing, it seems to work if you have not discovered a faction yet, but does not if you have. For example, if you load this up at turn 50 as Khorne and you discovered Kislev on turn 49, you can’t negotiate with them at all. If you discover Cathay on turn 51, you *should* be able to negotiate with them.

Like all GOW mods, this mod has been cleaned to minimize potential conflicts with other mods. This means my mod will not accidentally overwrite someone else’s mod changes in an unrelated area. My mod will only conflict with mods that change the exact same things I do.
