Description

Features upgradable sets with new set bonuses. Armor sets can be upgraded at the new craftable table, Chaos Machine, with jewels.

Sets can be upgraded until a maximum of +5 to level.
There is an extended set bonus at level 2 and 5.

NOTE: drop rates, drop locations and set values are a subject to change in the future versions, due to better balancing from feedback!

Chaos Machine table – how to craft

In order to be able to upgrade your set(s), it is required that the Chaos Machine is crafted first.
You can find the recipe at the Anvil, which requires 10 of each Jewel of Chaos, Jewel of Bless and Jewel of Soul.

Jewel types and where to find them

There are 3 Jewels which are used as crafting materials:

  • Jewel of Chaos
  • Jewel of Bless
  • Jewel of Soul

They can be drop randomly from defeating monsters in the world in stacks of 1-2 with a chance of:

  • Jewel of Chaos – 5% chance
  • Jewel of Bless – 4% chance
  • Jewel of Soul – 3% chance

Bosses have a 50% drop chance of these jewels in stacks of 5-10.

Talisman of Luck, Pendant of Recovery – what they do and where to find them

The Chaos Machine mod features 2 new items which can be used in upgrading the sets.

The use of Talisman of Luck is to provide +10% success rate at the Chaos Machine when upgrading sets.
Pendant of Recovery is a crafting material which can be used at the Chaos Machine to receive the item back if the upgrading fails, with a -1 to its current level.

They drop from ALL bosses with the following chances:

  • Talisman of Luck – 5% chance
  • Pendant of Recovery – 20% chance

These items are completely optional in the Chaos Machine when upgrading the item, but offer a better chance and commodity.

Item upgrading

The feature of the Chaos Machine is that it can make your item more powerful, but at a cost.
Depending on the level of the item, the chances to upgrade it are the following:

  • Level 0 (standard) to Level 1 – 90% chance. Costs 1 of each Jewel of Chaos, Bless, Soul
  • Level 1 to Level 2 – 75% chance. Costs 2 of each Jewel of Chaos, Bless, Soul
  • Level 2 to Level 3 – 60% chance. Costs 3 of each Jewel of Chaos, Bless, Soul
  • Level 3 to Level 4 – 50% chance. Costs 4 of each Jewel of Chaos, Bless, Soul
  • Level 4 to Level 5 – 40% chance. Costs 5 of each Jewel of Chaos, Bless, Soul

This chance can be increased by using a Talisman of Luck (see above).

Sets and their upgrade bonuses

Items have a scalable buff for each level, whereas sets give a bonus once the minimum level is 2 and 5.
At level 5, the bonus is substantial.
