Description:

Adds human flesh to the game (for consumption). Made for a friend.
But watch out! Eating human meat will lower your sanity and if you go insane, you might start hallucinating.

THIS MOD IS (SINCE v1.3) DEPENDENDANT ON CustomPlayerLib! MAKE SURE TO DOWNLOAD IT AND ENABLE IT, OTHERWISE YOUR GAME WILL CRASH ON LAUNCH

More frequent raids option for better meat supply might need some tweaks.
Raiders On Call is another way to get a nice supply.

Changelog:

  • Fixed sanity levels going negative (now 0 is the minimum value)
  • Fixed damage sound and numbers being displayed when not taking damage
  • Added Often raid frequency option
  • Fix raiders not dropping human meat
  • 1.1: Rewrite most of the mod’s logic to improve multiplayer experience and overall stability
  • 1.1: Added save data (sanity will now save per world)
  • Nerfed hallucination mob drops (only 17% chance for normal loot table).
  • 1.2: Nerf drop rates and sell price of human meat (one easy raid generated 15k)
  • 1.3: The mod now uses CustomPlayerLib library as my mods (and hopefully many others) will use this library to store custom player data (like sanity).
  • 1.3: Add insanity indicator + rough timer (might add randomness to the insanity increase in the future; it is +1 per minute as of now).
  • 1.4: Update to using CustomPlayerTickable introduced in v1.5 of CustomPlayerLib
  • 1.5: Update to v1.7 of CustomPlayerLib, related to a crash on loading when insane.
  • 1.6: Update to Java 17 with game version 0.21.17.
Also removed the Often raid timer patch as the developer added it in the game.
    Fixed hallucinations not spawning mobs.
  • 1.7: Fix the hallucinations with the new event refactors in v0.21.28.

Known issues:
MULTIPLAYER IS VERY BUGGY AND I’M LOOKING INTO A FIX FOR IT
NOTE: This is most likely fixed, will conduct further testing.
Damage text still displaying while not taking damage. This is something I can’t fix as the game’s source code always draws the damage numbers as long as the setting is enabled, it doesn’t check whether or not you actually take damage.
I have submitted a bug report. game (for consumption)
Shout out to the developer on discord for pointing out I can actually prevent damage from being displayed (I didn’t look far enough).
