In 1965, the Gorky Commercial Engineering Plant began mass production on the GAZ-52A chassis (later – GAZ-52-01) of the van – GZTM-893A (after the renaming of the enterprise, the van received the designation GZSA-893A). The production of GZSA-893A was discontinued in the second half of the 1980s.
