UNISG:
United Nations International Scientific Group is a special forces unit with a keen interest in the Zone and the more ruthless successor of the original ISG.
While the original ISG was disbanded shortly after its foundation in 2011 due to unforeseen circumstances, recent disturbing rumours followed by a vast yet
harmless emission seen as far as London convinced the United Nations to restore this international group with a mandate to research the Zone.
Ostensibly, they continue their old mission statement as the Western counterpart to the Ecologists, studying the Zone’s wonders for the benefit of science.
In reality, they are suspected by the Ukrainian government to have and avid and politically motivated interest in the Zone’s true origins. Needless to say,
the SSU would not want such knowledge to fall into the wrong hands. It is for this reason that officially permitted UN presence in the Zone is extremely
limited.
Thus, the many covert UNISG members active in the Zone would do anything to preserve their secrecy while it lasts, up to and including the liquidation of
potential eye witnesses. Whatever their actual goal may be, their agents in the field are now far from defenceless and they are prepared to "obtain knowledge"
with state-of-the-art weaponry and modern combat tactics.

UNISG Mk1 Tactical Body Armour:
Based on a fairly standard suit design used by Western special forces, outfits like this are common to many militaries throughout the world.
This is the bare minimum a UNISG operative can expect to be fitted with. Compared to even a basic Mercenary LC suit, this body armour is both
heavier and less protective and as such can be considered barely adequate for the Zone’s conditions. Still, it is a massive step up from the
army uniforms found on Ukrainian conscripts.
