*****UPDATE: NOW INCLUDES COOP (8). Open the mod folder and copy the MPMissions folder to your MPMissions folder in your main directory for COOP.*****

ALSO: This is not compatible with DarkSnake’s Green Hell mod (not the scenario, just the mod dependency). Make sure you do not have that one loaded in before using this because they use two different health/revive systems!

After lots of hard work I am extremely excited to introduce you chapter one of "Welcome to the Border." This is a campaign (SPand COOP!) that follows the elite unit of MACV-SOG. So here it is:

MAKE SURE YOUR MUSIC VOLUME IS UP TO AT LEAST 50%!!!!

Welcome to the Border. You will be conducting ambushes, search and destroy, and personnel recovery operations with your team deep behind enemy lines in Laos and Cambodia. Because you are conducting black operations in countries we aren’t supposed to be in, you will have zero air or artillery support. It will be just you and your team alone behind enemy lines. You will be challenged. You will be wounded. You will win.

Features:

– An intense story driven campaign that offers a cinematic experience through the eyes of elite warriors in the Vietnam War. (I mean, I did the best I could with this being Arma lol)
– Unique and challenging missions where you are in command. You choose how you will assault your objective and what the best approach is
– Dynamic enemy patrols in and around the objectives to provide replay-ability
– Singleplayer or COOP with up to people
– AIS Revive system by Psychobastard for Singleplayer
– SOG-PF Revive in COOP
– A team room for picking your loadout prior to the mission (most missions, two do not have this option)
– LAMBS Danger promises the most intense jungle firefights
– Hand chosen areas of PKL for the most immersive locations
– ACE compatible Arsenal, (medical in SP, not tested in MP)

NOTES:

TO INSTALL COOP MISSIONS: Open the mod folder (in the mod launcher, right click on this Campaign, say browse local files or whatever it says, open that folder, copy and paste "MPMissions" folder into your main directory. That’s it. (For anyone who cares – apparently you can’t just simply add a multiplayer option to a campaign. I could either release individual missions to the workshop, or do this and this seemed simpler.)

– You may be asking yourself, "why is this campaign on PKL and not Cam Lao Nam?" Well, because I actually made most of this before SOG-PF came out and it originally used my Project: Vietnam mod (if anyone wants that version, just let me know). However, now that SOG-PF is out, I decided to cut this campaign short and call it Chapter 1 so that I could continue it on Cam Lao Nam and using the full functionality of SOG-PF (including mission modules and stuff). So therefore, this campaign only consists of 5 missions even though more are planned.

– LAMBS Danger is required because it gives unique modules that make AI do things I could not get them to do otherwise.

– "WHERE’S THE MP COOP VERSION????" Relax. It’s coming. It’s being tested right now. It will most likely use SOG-PF revive system.

– As stated earlier, you will have zero air support due to the nature of these operations. Because of this and the number of enemy forces, these missions are HARD. Be smart, be careful, be SLOW AND METHODICAL, and be tacticool and you should be fine. Don’t just go running in there COD style and expect to survive.

HINTS:

– As stated earlier, this uses AIS Revive. I chose this because it is, in my opinion, the best option for SP. I like the SOG-PF revive system but your teammates die instead of being incapacitated. That said, it can be a little buggy. So:
– You can use H to call for a medic, but sometimes it doesn’t work right and he gets stuck, so I recommend using the action menu (#of unit [i.e. 3] > 6 > Treat Team Leader).
– If you call someone to heal you or another teammate and they refuse and say "Negative" a bunch of times, just tell them to stop, then regroup, then try again.
– Be careful with the "Treat Self" command on AI teammates. If they are unconscious and you do this, they will heal themselves but not bring themselves out of unconsciousness and then get stuck like that. Make sure they are not unconscious before telling them to heal themselves.
– You may use ACE instead and it will override the AIS system (untested with SOG-PF revive)

– The extraction helicopters will be dispatched on their own via triggers.

– Although you may choose your loadout, it is recommended to bring some explosive charges along.

– You may use incendiary grenades on vehicles and artillery guns.

– Stealth is your friend.
