A Mod that realized the Idea by Ashklain on reddit:

Adds an Item, "Buddy in a box".
When picked up, Grants Isaac a random baby using any co-op baby sprite at random. Its stats are randomly chosen when picked up. When finishing a floor, the baby will be fully randomized again.
