Sceo LX550 TT
In 2005, Sceo released a high-end trim of their hit LX550 limited, and they dubbed the trim "TT" for its 1,000+ HP, 4.0 L, twin turbo V8 engine under the hood. Most of the car was left alone, otherwise, excluding some of the cosmetics, like wheels, interior, and ride height.
Unsurprisingly, the high purchase price, and even higher maintenance costs doomed the car in the US, UK, Canada, and most of the European Union. Sceo thought the car was doomed, and that it was going to be a leading loss for years to come.
That was, until it made its way further. The car was a massive hit in the Middle East, and East Asia areas. Sceo took the reception and ran with it, adjusting their prices to the local markets, and marketing the behemoth sedan as a high status of luxury. In keeping with the spirit, the manufacturer introduced a compliment of expensive, non-standard paints as available factory options, from chrome, gold, and neon pink, to metallic orange, chameleon red, and matte dark blue.
Its affiliation with luxury and class caused its value to skyrocket in all markets after the fact.
The car is still sought after by fanatics, while others shun it, viewing it as an icon to excessive and obscene vanity.
