Spire Locations
Adds modifiers to nodes on the map, adding effects and rewards to the room, to make pathing more engaging.
Every room of the map will have a chance to generate with a modifier, some beneficial, some challenging with increased rewards, and some somewhere in the middle. All modifiers are visible from the map, and say exactly what they do.
Modified combats are made easier or harder. Harder combats have increased rewards.
Modified campfires have changed options, like replacing the upgrade with a card removal.
Modified shops have a bonus effect, or their card removal service is changed.
Modified chests come with a bonus or have an opening cost with additional rewards.
Modified event rooms give more options when pathing or give informations on their event.
I’ve chosen to not add modifiers to bosses, as the purpose of this mod is to make pathing more engaging, and adding modifiers to the boss could be frustrating and cannot be pathed around.
There’s currently 3 options in the mod’s config menu:
– Choose the map node scale, to make modifiers icons more visible. I recommend ~140%.
– Increase or decrease the probability of modifiers spawning. I’ve put it at a level I think is best, but if you want more or less of them, you can tweak it.
– Disabling a modifier that tells you what event is located in the event room it’s on. This modifier could cause some problems with some modded events, but generally it works fine. Still, if the game crashes when the map is generated, try disabling it and reload your save.
I feel like the mod could use more different modifiers. If you have ideas for one, I’d be happy to read them in the Suggestions discussion below 🙂
