[WOTC] Recover Fallen Hero
A pretty straight forward mod: it introduces a new Covert Action that allows you to retrieve the corpse of a fallen soldier (if the body was not recovered), so that you can retrieve the gears that you have lost (this is secondary of course, what’s important is we get them back for proper burial).
Which dead soldier to be retrieved is completely random.
Yea should be fine. Removing mid campaign may break things though.
Should be compatible with almost anything. If you see any issues, please let me know.
- Covert Infiltration – Compatible.
- LWOTC – Apologies, this mod was not tested with LWOTC.
- [WotC] Infirmaria Ex Mortis – I suggest using this mod with xAllowResWithoutBody = false. Once the body is retrieved with CA from this mod, you should be able to resurrect the soldier.
Covert Action will not trigger for Sparks. Many other mods are already handling Sparks and its a lot of effort (and a minefield) for compatibility.
By default, the mod will spawn Covert Actions for any dead soldier regardless of the items on them when they die. But if you prefer to only get Covert Actions to retrieve corpses having specific items, you can configure it that way. I left some samples in XComRIFF.ini (actually the entire Chosen weapons and Alien Hunter weapons are there, you just need to uncomment them i.e. remove "; " at the beginning of each line).
Required faction influence of the covert action can be changed as well.
