About This Mod

This mod introduces a significant number of new gene mods that are implemented Psionic Abilities.

All Psionic Gene Mods come with a price. You will probably run out of Sectoid Corpses fast. Also Meld will be used in huge quantities. And every single one will reduce both HP and Will of the soldier.

The Psionic Gene Mods are mostly sorted into 3 power levels: Glyphs, Runes and Sigils

All gene mods introduced in this mod are locked behind a new research. Once that research is completed, all gene mods available for use (based upon installed companion mods) will be available in the Gene Modification Chamber! If any companion mods are added AFTER the research is completed, the unlock for the related gene mods will be applied on save load. NOTE: This will NOT remove any unlocks if a companion mod is added, the game loaded, and then later removed.

These are needed to make this work.

Compatibility

Should be compatible with pretty much everything.

  • Inert Meld is an integral part of the design philosophy for these gene mods, so if not wanting to play with Psionics Ex Machina, then use Meld for LWOTC. While it is configured natively for LWOTC environments, it WILL work just fine in normal WOTC.
  • Most Psionic Abilities will need a Psi Amp or Psi Implant on your soldier to have the Ability available. The soldier needs a focus point, mind that
  • Due to every Psionic Ability costing HP and Will you may want to think careful which ones you want on which soldier
  • Technically not a Psi overhaul so you CAN run it with other Psi Overhauls like PEXM. Though the idea with this mod was to use it instead for a different experience. You will not need RNG to get the Ability you want. But you cannot swap it around between your soldiers. And if the soldiers die, so do the Psionic Abilities
