Description:
Ambient Enemy Spawner

What is this module?

This is a module for single and multiplayer that will slowly and infinitely spawn in enemy units to patrol random areas around each player to add a more random and dynamic element to your mission.
On top of enemy groups being spawned, vehicles and even tanks have a chance to be created too. Also If you want a challenge there is a option to enable rare hunter groups that will actively hunt you and your squad down.

For Multiplayer this module is run server side but will need to be installed by all players on the server who wish to join.

A more detailed look into what this module does can be found in the discussions.

Default Hunter Teams
These are the default hunter teams that will spawn if a custom Config path isn’t used/found.
IND = LDF Infantry Fire Team Group
OPFOR = Spetsnaz Infantry Group
BLUFOR = CTRG Infantry Group

How do you use this module?

Eden Editor

  • All you need to do is place the desired side module anywhere into your mission and edit the attributes as desired.
  • You will find the module under the "Fox’s Ambience" category in the eden editor.
  • There is also the ability to sync a single trigger to the module which will then be used to define a "safe area" where no units will be spawned in. The trigger’s size is the only part that needs to be modified.
  • If too many or not enough triggers are detected there will be no defined "safe area".
  • If you want to use a faction that isn’t listed in the drop down menu you can get the CfgGroups config path for it and paste that into the CfgGroups config path text box at the bottom.
  • Checks will then be done on the inputted config path and messages will be shown if none or multiple factions are found.
  • From that config path a list of vehicles will be created based on the faction name from the groups that are found. If none are found a message is displayed and no vehicles will spawn in.

Zeus

  • Find the Zeus Placeables under "Fox’s Zeus Ambience" category.
  • Click and place any of the modules on the map.
  • Enter your desired settings.
  • Click "Okay" to start the spawning cycle.
  • Or click "Cancel" to cancel placement.
  • Once placed you will NOT be able to edit the values and will need to delete and replace the module to edit.

What is coming in the future?

  • Helicopter and Jet spawning chances.

Known Issues
Minor:

  • Icons of Zeus placeables will turn grey when placed?
  • If module is deleted by another zeus while you’re in GUI and hit okay, module will run forever and can’t be stopped.
  • If you are host zeus messages are displayed twice.

This is my first attempt at making a module, please be kind.
