The New Spartan Empire -Faction Overhaul-
–This mod is a work in progress. It is my first overhaul, i’m quite nervous about releasing it, i sure hope everything works out and folks like it. It may be subject to tweaking, and bug fixes.–
Hello! I am sir Eggmond, and I’d like to start making overhauls, so I will start with my favorite faction. Sparta!
This overhaul is a combination of both new units, New colors, and new banners!
What I changed:
– Brand new red and black banner by the master of banners, the modder Noif! Please stop by noifs workshop page and see his great emblem packs.
– I colored the Spartan faction a deep blood red and black, to reflect a new, dark regime of conquest.
-new units, including a unit of Shamed shieldless spartans (the naked guys looking with envy at the officer), the great Spartan line infantry (like legions) The archidemus attendants (praetorian equivalent) Spartan horse guard, Spartan panoplia Hoplites (power armored spartans) and the Spartan Glory guard, although fully overhauled! (all from tier 4 or 5 barracks btw)
-I have re-skinned all the Spartan core units to show a reformed standard of gear and battle. Standardized, disciplined and well geared. The new Spartan regime. The heroes are more decorative, the officers are wearing the Lion pelt of Heracles, the pikemen are clad in heavy armor, and more! see the pictures for more detail.
-Advisor is now a spartan as well. ( yes that guy who is always telling you how shameful your men are.)

This alternate universe mod is based on the possibility that the Spartans came under a new king (that‘s YOU), and with their warlike tradition of battle, instead of staying an introverted and defensive nation, chose to ride out and take the world under its bronze fist.
Show the world that there is only Sparta. Conquer, rule and bring forth a new Spartan hegemony! Only this time..on the entire ancient world.

I must warn you, this mod does make Sparta somewhat overpowered, but it’s just for players who want to use it. I plan to make overhauls for all factions, so don’t worry.
I suggest subbing to other Spartan unit packs along with this one, to add to the epic variety. i also suggest LOADING THIS MOD OVER and above any other mods, so that it is not overwritten by other banners or colors.
This mod is fully compatible with most mods, just load it over any overhauls.

I plan to re skin generals, add more units, and change a few cards.

–I made the advisor a spartan too. So now even the guy telling you things is spartan. Making immersion better i think.
–i put caps, increased cost, and upkeep of a few units. with user feedback, i plan to do more 😀
—UPDATED the Spartan Hoplites. They are in bronze now, with DLC crested/no crest corinthians
