As2 Brutal Combat
Hi All. I’ve decided to release this as a work in progress.
I feel it’s time to get some community input, so I invite you to subscribe and take a look.

What is the idea/concept behind Brutal Combat ?
So, I’ve always wanted to develop a mission file concept that can be easily placed onto any map, by anybody, with them not having to have extensive mission making ( F3 mode ) knowledge.
Simply giving map making enthusiast the ability to place a mission file in their map folder. Load it up in the editor, move a few objects around to suit, and it’s ready to play. Remove the need to script triggers, set waypoints etc.
Brutal Combat attempts to deliver on this concept.
Why? Because there are so many great maps that sit on the workshop without ever having a mission made for them.
So what is the mission?
Currently…
….using custom reinforcement buttons…
1. The Player selects their faction from the 5 vanilla factions.
2. Then they select the AI enemy’s faction from the remaining 4.
3. The player then sets the enemy resources value, displayed at the top of the screen.
4. Sets their own reinforcement value.
5. Chooses which end of the map to start from.
6. Presses either "START" or "WAIT I want to set up"
I basically have two game modes at this stage. The first, you just jump straight into combat.
The second gives you the option to setup a defence.
Flow of combat.
The player has access to infantry, artillery, mounted guns armoured vehicles and tanks.
The enemy will call in units based on what the player calls in.
Both player and enemy AI use resources to call in units. The objective is to deplete the enemy resources and clean up any remaining units.
All enemy interaction and movement is scripted. Waypoints are not used for parthing.
Enemy AI…
will lay ap and at land mines randomly around the map.
radioman will fire flare gun at player.
Throw grenades more frequently.
Artillery and mounted guns will creep up, stop shoot, creep closer etc.
Enemy will try to heal their dead.
Tanks and light vehicles will hunt you.
Enemy will repair and remount broken vehicles and equipment

Fuel Truck script. Park/drive the fuel truck near a vehicle and it will auto refill vehicles.

Currently you will find my crude mission concept test map. A variety of pvp maps, a couple from my other mods, with more being added.
I will be updating this regularly as I develop and add function and features to it. At time of posting, I am 3 – 4 weeks into development.
