Team CreativeXenos created this mod as a joke mod fo Valentines Day last year and it got better reception than we thought it would. It’s now ready to be played in WOTC!!
This new VALENTINES VIPER might look or seem silly to some, as its meant to be 🙂 BUT… She is just as deadly and cool as any of our other enemies we have put out. I SHADOW 79 personally hope you all enjoy this SILLY YET DEADLY VIPER.
The Valentines Viper will only come in as a Leader in a pod but has a M1, M2 and M3 version. Meaning, she will be around throughout a full game. Her Spawn Weights are a lot lower so as to keep her from spawning a lot.
She is faster and has more HP than the normal Vipers and her dodge is also higher. She is a PSI UNIT as well. Her Psi Offence is also up there with the likes of the Codex and Gatekeepers (later in the game).
She has a special LOVE RIFLE that has been altered to "LOOK" more like a BOW RIFLE. This weapon acts like a Psi Amp and she can fire a special "LOVE SHOT" that does NO PHYSICAL DAMAGE but if it hits, it acts like the Sectoid’s MIND SPIN. She can randomly DISORIENT for 2 TURNS, PANIC for 2 TURNS or MIND CONTROL (MAKE FALL IN LOVE) with her for 4 TURNS. Think of this as CUPID’S LOVE ARROW 😉
She also can cast PSI BOMB, just like the Codex can. Only the M2/M3 versions have this ability. Still works the same way. Once cast, youll have 1 TURN to get out of the Psi Bubble before it blows and take you with it. She DOES NOT have the POISON SPIT but being a Viper, she is STILL IMMUNE to Poison. And she can STILL BIND.
She DOES NOT offer an Autopsy or reseach project but when killed, her corpse becomes a pile of PINK DUST (NO USE TO XCOM) but can be sold on the BLACK MARKET for (25) RESOURCES. Also when killed, as a VALENTINES GIFT… she has potential to drop up to 4 gifts (which are on top of any base loot drop she may grant).
1. 15% chance to drop a MIND SHIELD
2. 15% chance to drop a VALENTINES VEST (grants 2 HP, 2 MOBILITY and 8 WILL) CAN NOT BE BUILT
3. 25% chance to drop a small Alloy cache
4. 25% chance to drop a small Intel cache
