Glasgow Subway 3rd Generation (Colourable)
New trains manufactured by Stadler, to be introduced in 2023 as part of the ongoing modernisation of the Glasgow Subway. The trains feature a temporary driving cab, but are equipped for driverless operation in preparation for the transition of the system to this mode.
The new generation of rolling stock has an unusual 4-car consist, with the 2 central cars being much shorter than the end cars, meaning each new 4-car train is the same total length as the outgoing 3-car stock.
This mod features the 40-metre 4-car sets as delivered, plus fictional 8-car and 12-car sets. The trains run on 1220mm/4-foot gauge, but are wide enough to look fine on the standard gauge base-game tracks.
Each set has a capacity of 320 (seated plus standing) owing to the train being both very short and comedically narrow.
The panels over each door are colourable (the hex colour of the orange as used in the screenshot is f57c14 but SPT use several shades across various applications so no guarantees this is perfectly accurate).
