[MWDI] MK-42 (127MM) CAT
The MK42 naval gun follows the MK16 naval gun’s 127mm/54 times diameter barrel, and its ballistic performance is basically the same. The barrel is two-stage, with a maximum chamber pressure of 2900 MPa, a muzzle velocity of 808 m/s when firing a standard high-explosive bomb against sea, and a maximum range of 23.7 kilometers against sea. However, by redesigning the turret, the anti-air combat capability of the MK42 naval gun has been greatly improved.
MK42型舰炮沿用了MK16型舰炮的127毫米/54倍径身管，弹道性能基本一致。炮管为两段式，最大膛压2900兆帕，在发射标准对海高爆弹时初速为808米/秒，最大对海射程23.7千米。但通过对炮塔进行重新设计，MK42型舰炮的对空作战能力有了大幅度提高
