Description:

tested and working on mp servers with current version (41.78.16)

Features:

Ham Radios:
– Allows you to connect your ham radio to a wall outlet. That way you can keep on your ham radio for communication.
– NEW: Also increases the TransmitRange for the gridpowered Civilian and Makeshift Ham Radios
– Requirements: Lvl.1 in electrical aswell as 2 scrap electronics, 1 electric wire and you need a screwdriver to craft it.
To convert to use grid power you need to have a ham radio in inventory.
convert it and then place it somewhere with power (Power grid or generator both work).
– Powerdraw from Generator is minimal with 0.01 L/h
– Works with all three versions (civilian, military and makeshift) of the ham radio!

Civilian Walkie Talkies:
– attach an antenna to your walkie which increases it’s range to 6km and its frequency range to 25 – 300MHz.
– Requirements: Lvl.1 in electrical aswell as 1 radio receiver, 1 radio transmitter and you need a screwdriver to craft it.

Radio Parts:
– craft radio receivers and transmitters!
– Requirements: Lvl.1 in electrical aswell as 1 scrap electronics, 1 electric wire and you need a screwdriver to craft it.

Useful Info:

– It is advised to remove the battery first before connecting to grid. Currently the mod doesn’t check if there is a battery and it would be lost otherwise.

– A small tip for those having trouble finding ham radios: Every emergency vehicle (firetruck, police car, ambulance) has a ham radio built in. Just open the hood and uninstall the radio. A screwdriver is needed for this.

– If you convert a ham radio or attach an antenna to a walkie, all it’s presets will be deleted. Make sure to write down your presets before crafting these.

Known Issues:

– once you placed a converted ham radio or an upgraded walkie and pick it up again, it will have the name and properties of the original item. Do not worry though, because the item still works and is still using gridpower and still has the increased range. This is a known issue but it enables you to disassemble and reinstall them in emergency vehicles.

This mod was inspired by the "RadioToGrid" mod by MrRat.
