[WOTC] ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’ Music Pack
~~~~
YOU NEED TO BE SUBSCRIBED TO ROBOJUMPER’S MUSIC MODDING SYSTEM FOR THIS MOD TO WORK!
This music pack brings the symphonic, dramatic and action-packed soundtrack of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009) to XCOM 2. Crush the alien insurgents and restore freedom unto the world to 42 orchestral tracks – brought to you by savant composers Hans Zimmer and Lorne Balfe. But be warned: before you set out on this journey of revenge, be sure to dig two graves.
– If you install the mod and you find that music refuses to play whilst in combat, try deleting your ‘Config’ file under this pathway: C:UsersYourUsernameDocumentsMy GamesXCOM2 War of the ChosenXComGame. Next, run XCOM 2 a couple of times to regenerate the ‘Config’ folder and the music should play just fine.
– Music stutters during drops in FPS. There is nothing I can do to change that. Consider reducing your mod count to minimize this problem.
– For whatever reason MMS does not fully support ‘mission complete’ or ‘after-action’ music, and will therefore default to the base game soundtrack 9 times out of 10. In some cases it is possible for after-action music to play, however such instances are rare and sporadic.
– MMS music packs & custom music mods in general have a habit of playing over cutscenes. This one is no different unfortunately.
– MMS is not fully compatible with LWOTC; songs from this pack may fail to play.
– I had to get a little creative with some of these tracks in order to make them loop correctly/cleanly, so some music may sound different to how it does in the original CoD: MW2 OST.
I’m very proud of my work on this one. I was replaying MW2’s campaign last year and thought about just how special the music in the game was. I’ve been working on-and-off with this music pack over the past several months, and I’m finally satisfied with its current state. I really hope I gave this masterpiece of a soundtrack its due justice.
Thank you for taking the time to check out my mod. Live well, and may God bless you.
