Pou
Pou pops in! Pou, from hit mobile game/virtual pet simulator Pou, is an all-around type fighter, bringing its prowess in Pou’s many minigames to the fray. Though fragile, Pou has enough tricks up its sleeves to play toe-to-toe with the rest of Rivals’ roster.
Specials:
Neutral Special (Ball): Pou tosses a ball onto the stage, bouncing and allowing for an effective neutral/stage control tool.
Side Special (Car): Pou summons its car, hopping in before it ramming into any opponent in its wake. Though slow to start up, it is an effective burst option as its active frames are invulnerable to projectiles. Side special can also be charged for an extremely powerful attack that is invulnerable to all damage. However, it is also an extremely risky attack, as driving too far will send you flying offstage with no chance of recovery.
Up Special (Pou Popper): Pou creates a line facing an upward trajectory before lunging upward. Upon startup, this move can also be angled downward.
Down Special (Food Drop): A random food item falls from the sky, healing Pou. There are four types of food Pou can summon at random: Egg (heals 5%), Apple (heals 10%), Pizza (heals 25%), and Lollipop (heals 40%). However, Pou can also summon bad items, namely the Horseshoe, which instead deals 20% damage and knockback. Though Pou can evade bad items, the opponent can also pick up summoned food, so just be careful where you choose to use it.
