note: as of the epilogue update, this mod is not under active development, and has not been fully tested for compatibility with the following mods. they may work, they may not.

This mod has known compatibility with:

New Enemies & Bosses Mod (new enemies will spawn in chasm biomes)
Double Depth Dungeon
Volcano Biome
Sewer 1.0
Flesh Biome

for optimum compatibility with Flesh Biome and New Enemies & Bosses, place them before chasm biomes in the mod list.

WARNING: this is still a mod in development; small bugs and performance drops may be present. If you run into any potential bugs, crashes, or performance issues, letting me know is greatly appreciated. Additionally, all three new biomes are designed to be high-difficulty, late game areas; attempting them without proper preparation is ill-advised, and may lead to premature death.

Adds the ruined bunker, forgotten tunnels, and den of change biomes to the snow and desert chasms, as well as a minor connective biome, and a handful of new enemy variants created to these areas. You can set these new enemies to also spawn in appropriate vanilla biomes, or disable them entirely, in the mod settings menu.

The goal of this mod is to flesh out the currently empty chasm areas with simple, vanilla-friendly content. With this in mind, the only changes to the ‘vanilla’ game are 3 new openings to access the chasm biomes, the snow chasm ‘deercoy’ orb now being housed within the den of change, and the ability to go from ground level to chasm orb just by playing through these new areas.

Ruined Bunker: a derelict hive of hiisi, drowning in poison, explosions, and plenty of sand. Often hectic and constantly on fire, the bunker feels like it’s falling apart around you as you fight your way through.

Forgotten Tunnels: an incredibly dark and frigid maze of alchemical ruins and snow. heavy fog is present here, with pockets of pure darkness comparable to the dark cave. It is populated with a variety of enemies; everything from rock giants and ice skulls, to alchemists and wizards, can be found here. It is strongly recommended that you attempt this area with large amounts of visibility.

Den of Change: much like the wizard’s den, but with a shifted focus on polymorphine that makes it a difficult and nightmarish location. polymorph wizards and shapechangers abound, with pools and containers of polymorphine waiting around every corner. research victims, now helpless animals that bleed polymorph, roam the halls. max level wands, and the deercoy orb, await those who manage not to die. Teleport and swapper wizards do not spawn here for quality of life purposes.

Ruined bunker is accessed via the sandcave, and leads into the wizard’s den. A powerful new flamer variant, the jolter, can be found here.

Forgotten tunnels is accessed via the frozen vault, and leads one-way into the den of change. A new longlegs variant, icelegs, and a new rotting corpse variant, frozen corpse, can both be found here.

Den of change is accessed one-way via the forgotten tunnels, and connects to the temple of the art. It can be very difficult to escape this area, so caution is advised. The mini-skygazer, and the master of sawing, can both be found here, as well as plenty of polymorphine-filled animals
