You can not shield, jump, dodge, or attack. You will kill your opponent on contact, but you’ll die if jumped on or damaged by any move or projectile.
The hitbox works exactly like the original SMB1 hitbox. If you touch and they’re moving down, you’ll be hit. No, it’s not a glitch that they can kill you from underneath, that’s actually just how it works in the original game. Likewise, you’ll kill them if they’re still moving up.
