Mikecro’s Viking Burial Ship Unique Improvement
This mod adds a new unique improvement, Viking Burial Ship. It is unlocked at Shipbuilding tech, and provides you with Faith and Culture. Works with all Norwegian leaders.
Vikings would search for food, trade, explore and raid on their ships. And when they died they would be buried or burned in them. Some of the best preserved examples of Viking ships were found at the burial sites throught Scandinavia. Individuals would be buried with all their belongings in the ship, which would be either buried or burned on land or sea. This tradition persisted even with christian Vikings and declined around 10th-11th centuries.
- +2 Culture.
- Provides 50% of it’s tiles Appeal as Faith.
- +1 Culture if adjacent to at least 2 Coast tiles
Gains additional adjacencies and Culture with civics and Tourism from Culture on Flight.
Requires Gathering Storm (for graphic and gameplay effects).
