Hi everyone, are you still looking for new fights and challenges, well here we’ve got the toadstool waiting for you in Reign of Giant and ShipWrecked!

At the begining I wanted to keep that mod for myself but after putting the other DST mods online I decided to share it with you too.

Since that mod is an alpha version, the toadstool here doesn’t really act like the one of DST he won’t be able to spawn explosives mushroom or poison spores, he will just do the melee and jumping. And I will of course in the future try to bring all these stuff here.

The toadstool is an agressive boss from DST, but here he has been changed to fit more for singleplayer, here he will be active during dusk and night and will sleep at day and he will also be a light source.

Each 30 days(which can be changed in options) a toadstool will be spawned in the world(only the normal one not the caves/ruins/volcano), at each spawn the player will hear a big sound and will say "Hmm… What was that?", the toadstool will be in his mushroom form so until you taunt him by chopping it he won’t attack you.

Health: 5000
Damages: 100
Speed: 0.6
Loot: 1 froglegs, 3~5 meats, 3~5 shroom_skin, 1~3 red blue and green cap.

During the fight the toadstool will try to spawn some sporecaps, each of them will give him 5 health per second depending of their level(5 x level, max level is 4) which mean for example 40 per second if 2 sporecaps of level 4 or 4 sporecaps of level 2 are present. Even if you lead the toadstool far away from them, they will still be able to give him health.

The toadstool is also able to become more powerful by absorbing the energy of the sporecaps, he has 4 level which will depends of the amount of sporecaps and their level too. A sporecaps will give 1 level point x spore caps level, for example if 1 sporecaps level 3 and 2 sporecaps level 2 are present then the toadstool will have 7 level point and his level will increase.

– level 1: < 6 level point

– level 2: 6 ~ 10
* Damages: 115
* Speed: 0.8
* Resistance: 10%

– level 3: 11 ~ 15
* Damages: 130
* Speed: 1.2
* Resistance: 20%

– level 4: 16 and above
* Damages: 150
* Speed: 3.0
* Resistance: 30%

So in the end these sporecaps must be chop down very quickly before the toadstool becomes too powerful and get all his health back. They will be destroyed if the toadstool is killed.

When killed the toadstool will drop some shroom skin, that item was used in DST to build some special structures.
Since these structures aren’t in this mod they do not have a real utility so for now I just made them edible, they will give 150 hunger, 200 sanity in exchange of 20 health.

The toadstool will also spawn an ornate chest(which can be changed in options) like the ancient guardian, that ornate chest will have:
– 1~4 ruins armors or hats
– 1~2 ruins bats
– 66% Pick/Axe
– 20% Houndius Shootius
– 0~3 any staff
– nightmare fuel
– any gems

* Spawn names
– toadstool
– toadstool_cap
– shroom_skin
– mushroomsprout

* What are the options?
– You can change the delay before a new toadstool spawn in your world.
– You can make the toadstool spawn an ornate chest with good items when killed or not.
