Description:

"If you’re not careful and you no-clip out of reality in the wrong areas, you’ll end up in the Backrooms, where it’s nothing but the stink of old moist carpet, the madness of mono-yellow, the endless background noise of fluorescent lights at maximum hum-buzz, and approximately six-hundred million square miles of randomly segmented empty rooms to be trapped in."

"God save you if you hear something wandering around nearby. Because it sure as hell as heard you."

If you do not recognise the Backrooms, I suppose it would be no harm to catch you up-to-speed on their origins and variety of features:
The Backrooms were originally introduced to the public due to a comment and an image of an "unsettling room" which had been posted on 4chan’s /x/ board. The comment itself (seen above) describes a variety of oddly specific details which all add to its mysterious nature, almost as if the post had been told from a previous encounter in the Backrooms.
What I’m trying to say is that I did not come up with the initial idea of the Backrooms and due to its anonymous origin, I cannot credit the original poster, so thanks I guess?

So, what does the mod entail?

The Backrooms is a replacement of the Chest and only adds a reskin of the original layer, which is where most of the graphical parts of this mod come into play.
The other graphical changes include slight item changes and the "something wandering around nearby", which in this case, replaces the ??? (or Blue Baby) boss.

It also wouldn’t be the Backrooms without its signature hum-buzz which replaces the music of the chest with the inclusion of constant buzzing and some ambient sounds, whatever they may be coming from.
This can also be said for the ??? fight, which has been given new "music" to match the theme.

I suppose I’m a little late to the Backrooms mystery but due to the variety of games and media created revolving around the Backrooms, I felt that the constantly randomizing rooms of TBOI would be perfect for a little mod such as this.

I hope you enjoy!
