Dynamic Combat Ops – TEST VERSION
Major update testing! I’ve rewritten the majority of DCO to allow for a longer game mode with up to 15 enemy occupied AOs. As this is such a major change to the scenario I’ve put up this test version to hopefully eliminate most bugs before taking it live. Full changelog below, if you have a chance to try this out please let me know how you get on, even if things go well!
Major rewrite to allow multiple AOs
- Multiple AOs option added to Scenario tab
- Base position selection moved to the first menu under the Scenario tab
- Target AO can now be selected from a computer in the starting base (marked on HUD at start)
- Platoon selection moved to a separate dedicated menu after mission start
- In multiple AO mode a random selection of up to 15 AOs will be chosen based on base position
- In multiple AO mode upon completion of each AO and returning to base time will advance 6 hours and platoon can be reselected
- In multiple AO mode a new target AO can be selected after completing current AO and returning to base
Data saving
- Continue/New Game options added to main menu
- Continue will load any saved DCO data
- Data saved includes enemy target AOs and base position
- Intended to allow longer games to continue after Arma/DCO updates (regular Arma saving and loading is still preferable for most situations)
Other changes
- Add singleplayer reinforcing of units in the player’s group – to get reinforcements travel back to the base
- Removed Bravo platoon
- Added 2 extra slots to player platoon
- Better information added to vehicle target tasks
- Communications menus are now persistent and populated by available individual groups
- Platoon selection is now a separate menu
- Cog in Battle mode reworked to provide better support for automatically attacking groups
- General improvements to spawning of player platoon
