Stadler FLIRT UK Pack

The Stadler FLIRT is a multiple unit made by Stadler. the first units were built for SBB in 2004 and over the years have grown to be a popular type across Europe and North America.

In 2016, Greater Anglia was commiting to replacing their fleet with new modern trains, choosing a variant of the FLIRT which could fit the smaller loading gauge (maximum train sizes) of the UK, which became the all electric 12 car Class 745 and a bimode 3/4 car variant, the Class 755. The class 755 features a never-before seen design for the UK, utilising a powerpack wagon instead of engines under the bodywork, which allowed for level access to platform heights. First delivered in 2018, after a few incidents in early service, involving one where a level crossing opened early as one approached, narrowly missing multiple vehicles, they have since been improving in reliability.

The Class 231 is a diesel-only variant of the FLIRT, built for Transport For Wales. operated in a 4 car formation with the powerpack in the middle, as of writing, a few have been delivered and are ongoing testing. Once in service, they will operate services between Maesteg and Cheltenham Spa and Cardiff Central and Ebbw Vale.

This is my first published mod using the new modding system, and as such, currently it does not have sounds and other things like cab controls etc. It also does not support custom liveries entirely.
This mod contains 2 trains in 2 liveries

231 Driving wagon (Transport for Wales livery)

231 Powerpack wagon (Transport for Wales livery)

755 Driving wagon (Greater Anglia livery)
755 Passenger wagon (pantograph down) (Greater Anglia livery)
755 passenger wagon (pantograph up) (Greater Anglia livery)
755 Powerpack wagon (Greater Anglia livery)

As these units feature articulated bogies, they have specific setups in the real world, however nothing stops you from making longer units!

These items do not currently support custom liveries both in game senses (new modding system doesnt have the ability to yet) and in a texture mapping sense (for now)

Pantograph meshes on the 755 are default game ones which i do not take any forms of credit for.

This mod is in no way complete, i plan to update this once the real world Class 231 begin daytime testing or service operations into Cheltenham/Gloucester, where i will be able to collect references for a more accurate and detailed model!
