It’s Finally here!!! (again.)

The Binding of Isaac: Heretic, commonly regarded as one of the biggest and best mod expansions to Afterbirth, has finally returned to Afterbirth+

Q: Did you make this?
A: No, I did not. That credit goes to _lung, who was the original creator of the mod. In case you’d like to know, yes, this mod was given his permission to be uploaded.

Q: Didn’t someone just upload this? You’re totally profitting off of the hype!
A: Let me explain: this mod was initially never going to be released at all, it was a personal little side project of mine that I never planned to show off. I did in fact show it to _lung at one point asking what he thought, he liked it, but didn’t want to port Heretic unless it had his express permission, so I kept it under wraps. Eventually someone else uploaded the mod on their own, with all of the original code, which caused it to be very buggy as it was not made to be compatible with ab+. _lung then let me upload my version to the public. This version seeks to provide temporary fixes for most of the problems the other mod has until I can get the help of a more experienced coder.

Q: Where’s all the new items/enemies/etc.?
A: I cannot lua for sh*t so I had to make some workarounds. Most of the new items and trinkets are not here in the current version. To compensate most of the bosses in the vanilla game have been reskinned with Heretic boss sprites until I can actually add them into the game. I’m sorry if this dissapoints you, but atm it is the only way I can be 100% sure it will not crash constantly.

Q: Will you update this/add new features?
A: YES! If all goes according to plan I hope to add all of the missing items and enemies, actually add the bosses into the game instead of having them be simple reskins, and fix it so that all the heretic characters are seperate from the actual roster (so you could have the option to play as either Maggy or Mephisto)
