The Necrotect King – Tomb King Lahmizzash

This is a campaign mod which adds to the skill tree of the DLC Rise of the Tomb Kings technology tree acquired Lord – King Lahmizzash.

The Tech tree granted Tomb King Lords can be a bit bland, effectively re-skinned base Tomb Lords with no additional skill abilities and a dynasty ability to give them a bit of flavour. This mod attempts to add to the depth that Tomb King Lahmizzash has, effectively making him upto near Legendary Lord campaign-level status by adding a powerful unique version of the Necrotect skill line to his campaign skills. This allows players to have additional depth to this intriging character from the lore.

And King Lahmizzash is well worth knowing more about.
The lore in the Warhammer Armies books is pretty clear that at the height of Nagash’s power, when Khemri was taken by him and turned into a Necropolis, King Lahmizzash, incensed by the murder of his father, allied with the Liche Priests to form a all new type of Nehekaran army. Living statues imbued with spirits took to the field alongside (the then living human) completely outmatched and demoralised forces of the Nehekharan armies who were up against the endless undead forces of Nagash. (Nothing like a mobile five plus ton stone statue on your side to raise morale!).
Many Kings had attempted to answer the call to help retake Khemri. But flesh and bone weren’t enough. King Lahmizzash arrived with his newly built (and presumably cemented) army and this time instead of undead bone against flesh, it was undead bone against unyielding stone and obsidian.
King Lahmizzash took the reins of the Nehekaran forces and united the six other Kings under his banner. He then destroyed Nagash’s armies, routed his acolytes, killed Arkhan the Black himself and forced Nagash (again at the height of his power) to flee into the wilderness.
He sacked Khemri, destroyed Nagash’s Necropolis, and then for good measure (and a bit of revisionist history) had all instances of Nagash’s and his followers name wiped from every carving, writing or inscription in Khemri (to be fair, he was probably still angry Nagash killed his Dad.)

The new additions to the skill tree start to kick in when you get King Lazmizzash to level 10. You get the usual selection of Necrotect battlefield abilities, but also a range of powerful versions of the Necrotect campaign abilities. Unlike normal Necrotect abilities these do not lock out, allowing you to invest points in adding significantly to your statue collection.
