Latam – Workers House 1
Hello guys!
I have recently learned how to import my own custom models to this game, so I’m revamping my previous mods – I will still keep them online as to not harm anyone’s save, though. This is my first upload in this new cycle.
INTRODUCTION
The late 50’s and early 60’s urban planning favored huge residential complexes built with prefab parts to eradicate homelessness in poor countries, but the reality in Latin America was that most governments in the region lacked qualified manpower, money and resources to design and widely implement such projects. Apart from that, most latin-americans strongly associate the single-family home standard as a sign of well-being and aconomic prosperity.
Those factors made latin-american governments, then and until this day, invest in housing projects made up of several single or double family homes – this was true in capitalist countries as Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, etc, and even socialists as Cuba.
In this pack you will finde some examples of said housing, designed for large working-class families, that are characteristic of the period and that can be found all over the region. The architectural style is modern. The houses on themselves are pretty small – 36 to 48 square meters – but the lot is somewhat spacious – 150 square meters – allowing for a modest but still confortamble living quality for large families.

This set is comprised of 6 small houses – 3 single-story houses for one family and 3 two-story houses for two families.
