War of Elves and Sauron
This submod will allow you to (currently) play one large-scale historical battle of the great Second Age.
Features:
– Epic Elves & Powerful Dwarves
– A custom battle map (made by me)
– A large-scale battle against the hordes of Mordor
– Custom script and cutscenes (with fitting audio)
This mod is not perfect! It’s more a proof-of-concept for myself & to learn how to make historical battles and land battle maps. Known issues: The enemy AI is stupid (takes a long time to arrive) and the grass looks weird at close distance. You might find the difficulty levels too easy.

– TDD packs
I am not a member of The Dawnless Days team. In order to use this mod you’ll have to install The Dawnless Days first!

The Lore
After smithing the One Ring, Sauron marches to war against the Elves:
"And he came against them with open war, demanding that all the rings should be delivered to him, since the Elven-smiths could not have attained to their making without his lore and counsel. But the Elves fled from him; and three of their rings they saved, and bore them away, and hid them.
At last the attackers broke into Eregion with ruin and devastation, and captured the chief object of Sauron’s assault, the House of the Mírdain, where were their smithies and their treasures. There Sauron took the Nine Rings and the other lesser works of the Mírdain, but the Seven and the Three he could not find."
in S.A. 1697, Elrond is pursued after the sacking of Eregion:
"In black anger he turned back to battle; and bearing as a banner Celebrimbor’s body hung upon a pole, shot through with Orc-arrows, he turned upon the forces of Elrond. Elrond had gathered such few of the Elves of Eregion as had escaped, but he had no force to withstand the onset. He would indeed have been overwhelmed…"
