Arale Norimaki

Play as Arale Norimaki, the happy-go-lucky android from Akira Toriyama’s Dr. Slump, in Rivals of Aether!
Arale is a lightweight and very mobile fighter who relies on her quirky arsenal of abilities and strong ground game to overwhelm her opponents. Fitting to her nature in Dr. Slump, Arale has a lot of strong kill options at her disposal, balanced out by her short range and relatively average air game. While Arale is fairly easy to pick up and play, mastering her will involve making the best of her mobility and unusual arsenal to take this Penguin Village hero to the top!

Hurl a giant and unusually bouncy piece of poo at your enemies. This particularly smelly projectile is great for combo’ing opponents hit by it at mid to early percentages and for keeping jump-happy foes at bay thanks to its unique arc.

Arale raises her arms and dashes in place to take off like an airplane! Mash the special button to build up speed, then release the stick to blitz ahead! While off-stage or going off a ledge, jumping as soon as you take off will give you a huge momentum boost! This move also stalls Arale while used in the air, making it great for mixing up your recovery or forcing some distance from your opponent.

Not just any regular headbutt! Arale charges up and stalls in the air before leaping into the air with incredible speed! Charging this move increases both the distance traveled and power of Arale’s noggin.

Summon Arale’s adorable sibling, Gatchan, to the field! Like any good sibling, Gatchan will remain perfectly still until you give it a command; Gatchan will perform Forward-Air and Forward Strong with you, and pressing Down-Special again will cause Gatchan to shoot out a bolt of electricity at the cost of some health. Gatchan even taunts with you!

Arale, with her handy poop-on-a-stick, will fling a piece of poo forwards with both of these attacks. The projectile doesn’t flinch, but causes a small bit of damage. If Forward Strong is charged though, then the poo will fly even further and deal extra damage!

Arale shoots out a small mouth laser with this attack, reminiscent of her N’Cha Cannon. When used, Arale will fly back horizontally. This attack changes Arale’s direction in the air, and can also be charged to send Arale further back for an extra momentum boost!

Arale does one of her classic gags and pops her head off, jumping diagonally with it afterwards. Though this move is tricky to land, it is among the strongest moves in her arsenal. You can also move Arale around while leaping in the air and increase her vertical height by charging the strong move.
