Description:

This is a historical Praetorian helmet that i modelled from a stone relief and historical replica that was made. I used some existing models provided by CA in Rome 2 couple with new assets I modelled myself. The textures are my own work mixed with CA textures. I am currently working on a Roman Overhaul mod "Roma Reformata" that will forever change the Romans in Rome 2 and as it is new years day 2017 I thought I would release the new Praetorian helmet as a taster for what is to come in 2017.

Changes:
– Brand new textures based off the italian italic base texture and the Praetorian helmet etching is my own personal work.
– Newly modelled Praetorian helmet from assets released in Total War: Rome 2.
– Praetorians and Praetorian Guard variantmeshes edited to use new helmet.

I hope you all enjoy my work and look forward to hearing from you all.

Fixes 01.01.2017
As this helmet has done really well in such a short space of time I’ve applied a few tiny fixes.
– Texture map balances now the metal looks more brass coloured as it would have been.
– This is a big one….alot of people have been asking me to fix the roman_coolus model so the heads stop clipping through the back of it….well as a thank you i have done just this and the roman_coolus model (which really should be named Galea) is now fixed…no more roman heads clipping through the back!

"Do not use my models or textures in any other mod without my permission, thank you."

Roma Reformata is a way off, i need to learn complex rigging in 3ds to finish it, but the good news is a large majority of the models are finished they just need rigging. Also the .packfile for the mod is almost populated with what needs editing. I will add bits and pieces to this mod such as other helmets and fixes as time goes on.
