Trajann’s Malarok, Sentinel of the Unseen
Allow me to introduce the second character in my Tomb Kings Sentinel series, Malarok!
As you can probably tell, he is the Sentinel representing the sepulchral stalkers. Like his brother, Gurrash , he can provide some nice buffs to them, and some minor buffs to constructs in general. However, unlike Gurrash who is very much a melee powerhouse, Malarok focuses more on debuffing. His combat stats aren’t super stellar, but his ability to weaken the enemy and reduce their combat ability helps make him a powerful tool on the battlefield. He has a powerful ranged attack, and is anti-large. He comes with a variety to skills and abilities to push his role of support specialist, rather than damage dealer. Additionally, he has his own skill dump which grants sepulchral stalker capacity, and an "ultimate" skill unlocked at max rank. He is available to the 4 main Tomb Kings factions, and will be added to the Tomb Prince recruit pool upon starting a new campaign.
This mod also comes with 2 additional units, one is a sepulchral stalker RoR that has armour-sundering attacks and the guardian ability, unlocked at level 20. Plus, this adds a new standard unit, the necroserpents. They’re basically just necropolis knights but without the rider, and with slightly worse stats. They’re meant to be a melee alternative to sepulchral stalkers, having anti-infantry and frenzy. They benefit from stalker tech and are recruited from their building.
It was a ton of fun to revisit my Sentinel series as I think the idea is really neat. I do plan on making mods for the remaining constructs, though I have no ETA on when that will happen. As always, any feedback or issues you have are greatly appreciated, and I hope you enjoy!
Special thanks to @ok boomer. His script allowed me to add this guy to the hero pool, rather than spawning him right away.
