Description:

All leaders abilities are made into Wildcard Policy Cards and be used by everyone. This is the very "raw" beta version used to test the concept and surely require a lot of refinement before a good and playable version can be released.

Current version:

  • Every leader ability is made into a Wildcard policy unlocked at Political Philosophy. Due to the Civics being overloaded with cards, I moved it below (where Drama and Poetry used to be) to make the UI less confusing.
  • Some abilities are not effective, either partially or fully. For example, unique units/improvements cannot be added by cards.
  • Some abilities stay forever even after removing the card later, most notably Culture Bomb effects on specific districts.
  • Some abilities can stack with original leader abilities, for example China wonder rush is 30% if Qin’s ability card is active.
  • Should work for modded leaders as well, and you only have abilities of leaders you have in the game (i.e you can only have Kupe ability if you have Gathering Storm).

Roadmap:

If the mod gains traction and interests, I hope the community can help with those decisions:

  • Properly made cards: only part of abilities are made into cards (for example, enabling Wonder Rush), not just copy the whole ability/text.
  • Some less desired abilities may be made into other card like Economic or Military.
  • Have proper unlock Civics instead of putting all in one place.
  • Include Civ’s Ability as well.
